Student Legal Assistance (SLA) is a pro-bono legal clinic located in Calgary, dedicated to providing free legal information and representation for low-income residents. Since its inception in 1979, SLA has operated as a non-profit charitable organization with a commitment to making justice accessible to those in need.
Our team is primarily composed of law students from the University of Calgary who, under the guidance of experienced lawyers, engage in vital case management while pursuing their Juris Doctor degrees. By volunteering at various Calgary agencies, we aim to extend our outreach and assistance to individuals who may benefit from our services, actively contributing to the fabric of our community.
